While Kelly was in Flagstaff, the kids and I went to stay a few days with Maryn and Kelsey. We left right after the visit on Thursday night and planned to be home Saturday afternoon. Maryn would have Saturday off, and Kelsey would be able to spend Friday and Saturday with us because of her days off. It sounded perfect to get away and pass the time while Kelly was away.
But of course it didn’t go as planned. It was so disappointing each day as the time would drag on and Kelsey had to work—it happened both days, too! But we made the best of it and still had a good time. We ate out and swam in the pool. That pretty much sums it up!
One of the afternoons, we pulled out the kids’ art journals and did an activity where we tried to draw with our feet. We traced their feet and took pictures of them to put into the journals by the pictures they drew.
Kelsey is always fun to have around. She is goofy and laughs and plays. She made all kinds of funny hairdos in the water and even did some yoga!
This is Hunter’s magic trick---he makes a small boy disappear! Hee hee, hardy har har…
Ellie is learning to dive.. .and getting pretty good at it. She just needs to get her courage up a bit!
