Ellie is 12!

12 is a huge birthday! We decided to celebrate Ellie turning 12 by throwing a party…a semi-surprise party! I called some of her friends from school and invited Kassie and Rocko and the boys to come for dinner and fun. The surprise part came because we kept it a secret from Ellie. I tried to act normal as I got things cleaned and set up so that she wouldn’t know a thing till the doorbell started ringing.  It was fun because each time the doorbell rang it was a new surprise.

We started out the afternoon doing some crafts and playing outside. Kelly brought pizza home for dinner. We played Wii Just Dance and opened presents.  Then we blew out candles on a pan of brownies and at them with Peppermint ice cream.

 

 

I loved doing this for her, especially when I saw how happy it made her. It was wonderful to have the girls over and let them get to know each other a bit more. Ellie especially loved spending the time with Kassie and the boys.
